THE INVISIBLE CITY - AKKO

This project was nominated for the SHAHAR ZIV ARCHITECTURE DESIGN Competition - 2017
AKKO, The hidden city, is the creation of time layers.

AKKO encounters create multifaceted interactions and experiences. The city exhibits complexity, which is what makes it extremely special.

The new URBAN DESIGN for AKKO, is very organized, Visible and unequivocal. For that, I want to connect and bring a sense of belonging, intimacy and dynamism.

SITE :AKKO train is located in the East, and the Mandatory section is on the west of the site.

The site is in a decomposed environment, no connection and access between the different parts of the city, which creates boundaries and physical restrictions. As a result, we created a city within the field, which faces inward. Delegates connecting the three parts of the city. Among the market in the mandatory part, the residential neighborhood facing east and the city entrance.

THEATER COURTYARD

FOR LACK OF TIME, WE FOCUSED ON THE INTIMATE PART OF THE SUGGESTED SCHEMA-A THEATER COURTYARD (6 DUNAM ACRES OUT OF 13)

AXIS : Among the market in the mandatory part, the residential neighborhood facing east and the city entrance.

YARDS : From the negative of the hinges, we created yards that allow for a variety of spaces and experiences, an intimate garden yard, a collaborative green yard, and a public theater yard

A theater courtyard, allows dynamic and smooth movement on all sides of the court.

The courtyard has two central entrances that allow for circulation, on the one hand openness to the street in the west, and on the other a bridge that drains people in and connects the plot west to the railway line.
