This project was nominated for the DAVIDSON URBAN DESIGN Competition - 2017

SITE : South Tel-aviv South Tel Aviv (central station area) is considered to be the weakest area of the city from a socio-economical viewpoint.

The region suffers from long neglect and is considered as a major crime center in the city, it’s constituted mainly of marginal populations, asylum seekers from Africa and foreign workers.

Inspiration: Urbanism in Sudan

The Sudanese culture relies mostly on agriculture, so there is a great significance for open areas that are allocated to crops and to grazing sheep or cattle compared to areas that are allocated to residences.

Step one-defining the interference domain by locating open areas that has a potential of growing agriculture in which we called “the fingers”.

This area is known by its crumbled texture and its lowdensity, we would like to maintain and to promote such unique urban fabric, inorder to keep air flow and greenery and to avoid real estate intervention asmuch as possible over a very fragile community. And also to bring people their home and offer more job opportunities.
